ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that indicates what good environmental management must comply with and focuses specifically on controlling and improving environmental performance. Riwald Recycling complies with the laws and regulations for managing environmental risks.
MRF quality mark
We are members of the Metal Recycling Federation (MRF) and are in possession of the MRF quality mark. This means that we are working on sustainable business operations, with (verifiable) care for safety, the environment and working conditions. Every year, independent external experts check whether we still meet the quality mark requirements.
Risk Inventory & Evaluation
We have a great responsibility to our employees, our suppliers, customers and our environment. At Riwald Recycling, we are constantly working on the health, safety, security and working environment of our employees and our visitors. That is why we have put together a Risk Inventory & Evaluation (RI&E) plan of approach, carried out by a core expert and Occupational Health and Safety Service (ARBO). Almost all of our employees have a SCC certificate (Safety, Health and Environment Checklist Contractors), AED certificate (Automatic External Defibrilator) and a BHV certificate (Company Emergency Officer).
As of 14 March 2016, we are WEEELABEX (Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipment) certified. In an international context, the recycling of waste electronic devices has been raised to a higher quality plan. The Weeelabex standards make demands on the entire recycling process, with the aim to recover as much raw material as possible with care for the entire environment.
